Trying again for south of the river. The Apple Valley library room was booked, but I was able to get the larger room at the Eagan branch, so there should be plenty of room for everyone!
Had a great time teaching/learning/playing some great games! Lookin forward to the next big gathering south of the river!

Enjoyable session....my first! Very impressive to have so many turn up. Reminded me of my family reunions. Good game variety...lots of fun. Looking forward to the next one that I can attend! Thanks, Kristi, for organizing/hosting. Art K.

Nice people and we learned a few new games, including Alhambra. Was happy to spread the joys of Small World.

I threw a bunch of games in my car. I can't remember them all. Some lighter Euros: Finca, Garden Dice, My Happy Farm, Alea Iaca Est, Love Letter. A couple party games: Telestrations, Dixit. I'll try to remember to add Skulls and Roses. I'm also bringing Crosscrib which is a variant on cribbage that can be played with two or four people. There might be a couple more in there, but I don't remember. Oh wait, I think I still have Puerto Rico in the trunk.

I've got quite a few games, I'll bring along a few easy learner, co-op and euros.

I have a question, and a question. The first one is that I've been hearing the word euro game on this meetup and others. What is/are those? Other than a few basic: Trivial, Apples to Apples, and such, my board game playing is mostly from my childhood. I think I'm going to love being able to play.
The other question. I won't be able to be there until the afternoon, possibly as late as 1:00. I have a ton of games-when my daughter was younger she got a game every Christmas and Birthday until her very late teens, but we rarely played-just the two of us. When we finally got the nieces and nephews to play it was Trivial Pursuit and Apples to Apples. Should I bring games, or hold off this time-since I will be later?
March 22
I really want to go but I don't get off work until 2:30 p.m. so I may show up late to try and catch the last round of games.
March 22
Turns out I have to work right in the middle of the day (ugh!). If I come by around 2:30, will anyone still be around? I'll probably stop by in any case (its on my way home from work).
March 19
I think I found a home away from home! Holidays = Boardgames is a lost tradition for me and this could be a good substitute.

I will bring a view of the old time games like scrabble, backgammon, cribbage, Apples to Apples. Yet, I am all for trying some new games.
2 · March 18
If you have a favorite game, please bring it! I'm still deciding what to bring. I keep changing my mind. :)

Anyone bringing kids to this? My daughter is 10, my son is 6. Should I find a sitter or will there be other kids their age?
March 18
Kristi, I'm so disappointed. I have to miss this gathering. I've been really looking forward to it. My husband just got schedule for back surgery Friday so I need to be home with him Saturday. Please schedule another one soon! Have a good time everyone.
