Announcing a new Meetup for The Twin Cities Board Games Group!

What: Rio Grande Board Game Design Contest - First meetup

When: Saturday, July 24,[masked]:00 PM

Mike and Nadine's House
[masked]st Ave S, Minneapolis
Minneapolis, MN 55406

Rio Grande is again going to host a contest to allow people to get their board game ideas published. We hosted this event last year and had a lot of enthusiasm, but not enough organization. This year we have better evaluation forms and will be holding a series of meetup events here at our house for anyone and everyone with a board game idea to present their game and have others evaluate it. After a series of events (most likely running through August), we will select a representative based on the highest evaluation score and then that winning idea will travel to Chicago in November to present their board game idea to Jay at Rio Grande games. Last year Jay picked three games to publish! So this is a very real way to make your mark in the board game community.

We have had plenty of interest from people outside the Twin Cities area and will make sure we give them as fair a chance as everyone else. If you cannot travel to the Twin Cities in the next two months, please let us know and we'll schedule and event to evaluate your game in your absence. You'll need to send your game in the mail along with any special instruction and we'll do our best to evaluate it fully.

So please plan on showing up if you either have your own board game to show or you want to evaluate a new board game idea from someone else. We will only be playing the new board game ideas at this event.

Hope to see you here!
