A group has formed in Atlanta, Convoluted, Inc., to have a GLBT science fiction, fantasy, horror and gaming convention in Atlanta each year.  It's very similar in concept to Gaylaxicon, yet would remain here each year and focus a bit more on gaming.
Our first event will be November 8, 2008.  It will be a single day event focused on gaming.  We have booked the Knights of Columbus Hall on Buford Highway as the location for this event in November.  We have planned tournaments, strategy gaming, general board gaming, and a special edition of the Match Game to occur on the main stage for an hour in the evening (there are other rooms for games that do not wish to break for the Match Game.)  If you missed this event at Gaylaxicon, be sure to come for this, as it is sure to be very funny.
We will have prizes for the tournaments, delicious food and drink for sale, a bar in the evening, and all of the fun of an Outworlders game night but with much more to choose from!
The advance membership price is $8.  At the door the price will be $10.  You can register at the web site,, and pay through Paypal.  You will also be able to register at Dragon Con at the Outworlders table.
In 2009, our second event will be a weekend event like many cons, with programming starting Friday evening and going through Sunday early afternoon.  We will have a Guest of Honor, and other guests.  The panels will be GLBT themes and there will be an expanded gaming room.
The planned dates for this con are May 1-3, 2009!  Save the date on your calendar!
Currently we are looking for investors or people who are willing to financially contribute to the success of this convention.  Please contact Jeff Smith, the treasurer, for the details if you are interested at [address removed].
