I'm in East Atlanta and we've got a few new gamers here that I am introducing games to.
We've got a little group that meets on sporadic Sundays to play light games. ?Cash N Guns, Bohnanza, Mama Mia, Wits N Wagers, Carteghena, aMazing Labyrinth, Condeterri, Apple To Apples nothing heavier than Settlers. ?And even that is pushing it. ?I usually set up a build-your -own Bloody Mary bar which is quite popular so nothing too heavy get played. ?;^)

And there is a smaller group that meets on weeknights for "heavier" games. ?Last Night on Earth, Fury of Dracula, Nexxus Ops are what we've played so far. ?Doom, Cosmic Encounter, Heroscape and maybe Puerto Rico are on the horizon. ?I don't think this group will like Puerto Rico but they have heard the hype. ?A beer or three might be consumed but you are expect to keep your wits about you, unlike the sunday gathering.

If either of those sound interesting, new players are welcome. ?But if another intown lighter group materializes, I'll show up. ?Maybe with one or two wide-eyed neophytes in tow.

Hey everyone.... I've been attending the Wednesday and Saturday meetups for a while now, and I love them, but I can't help but notice, that not that many people want to play my "sillier games" with me.? I've loved the strategy games I've played and always love finding new boardgames I never knew existed (I now love Ticket to Ride, San Juan and Ingenious), but I also would like to find some people to play the other games that I like: Munchkin, Zombies, Last Night on Earth, Arkham Horror, Cash and Guns, Fluxx, Gloom, Let's Kill.... and lots others that I'm sure are out there...? Anyone have any suggestions?? Could we have a special night on a non Wed/Sat for more light-hearted games?? Are there people out there who are interested who might want to meet up outside the official group?? Find a new venue, perhaps in town? I'm fishing for ideas here, since these games I love are currently gathering dust on my shelf....
