The south side of Atlanta sounds really good.  I live in Jonesboro so that would cut some distance and the bad traffic on days.  Nov.14th sounds better than the 21st but I have to wait til my work schedule comes out.

Subject: [boardgames-35] Re: Southside Gaming

All, it's taken me forever, but I think I've finally got something lined up to start a regular gaming session here on the southside.

Right now I'm trying to get a better gauge of interest before I seal the deal.

What I'm looking at is a Game DAY, running from say 1000 or 1100 until 1100 or 1200, a $5 cover to help offset facility costs, and encouraging everyone to bring something to eat (potluck).  A crock pot, casserole, veggie platter, chips, cookies, etc.  You get the idea.  Target date Nov 14th or 21st.

How much does this interest you?  Please circulate amongst your gamer friends and let me know how many think they might be interested enough to participate.

Thanks,
Floyd

All,

I am trying to gauge how much interest there is among the group for regular gaming on the south side.  If there is enough support, my objective would be to find a venue somewhere along the I-85 corridor between Union City and Newnan, maybe Peachtree City.  Initially I would like to have game days once a month (a Saturday) from approx 12-12 where folks could come and go as they please.  This worked very well for my old game group in Virginia.  We paid a small cover ($4) for facility costs and most stayed all day and brought potluck.

If this is of interest to you, please email me.  Lemme know what all day gaming once a month is worth to you.  With enough support I will start scouting locations.  In the meantime, I would be interested to learn of any small gaming groups meeting on the south side as well.

Thanks,

Floyd
