N. Phx - Fri. Games

  • December 21, 2012 · 6:00 PM

Join us for games at Denny's at I-17 and Bell Rd!

We're a diverse group of boardgame and card players. We'll have dinner and then start to play. (Please keep food and drinks away from the games).

We'll meet in the large separate diningroom, at the back of the restaurant. Just ask the host for the Meetup Games group. Ages 12 and older are welcome.

Event starts at 6pm and goes for as long as you want to play!

Please note:  The wait staff at Denny's works hard to make sure we are taken care of.  We sit in that room playing games most Fridays for 6 or 7 hours. They even refill waters throughout the night for those few who do not order anything off the menu.  To ensure they get a fair wage for their work I will be collecting $1 from each person who attends as an additional tip for them. Members please tell the guests that attend with you of this new policy.  For those of you who are tipping generously please just deduct the $1 from your regular tip and put it in the "kitty" I will be walking around with on Friday night.  Thank you for your support.  We want a long and happy relationship with this restaurant.

Some of our favorite strategy games to play include selections from boardgamegeek such as:  Puerto Rico, Power Grid, Dominion, Stone Age, Pandemic, The Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, Citadels, Fresco, Galaxy Truckers, Shadow Hunters, and many more!

We also play party games like Taboo, Scattegories, Pictionary, and Apples to Apples, to name a few. And card games like Golf, Ski-bo, Spades, and No Thanks.

Bring something of yours to play, or just enjoy what others have brought and make some new friends. :-) We are happy to teach newcomers our games.

Please be sure to RSVP here before attending so we have the space to accommodate you. Hope to see you there!

P.S. Because we are here for good portion of the night, the manager has asked us to please park in the southside parking lot behind Denny's. Thanks!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
