The Grandview Boardgames Meetup

Hello Gamers,

We had three groups (Italian meetup, Columbus Coffee Club, and Chess Club) at the same time last night and we handled it just fine, so I have expanded the RSVP limit for tonights Boardgame meetup to 20.

Settlers of Catan has continued to grow in popularity I believe we will have three games available tonight and I would like to get a mini-tournament going. Be sure to be on-time if not a little early if you want a review of the rules (or house rules) and help with tournament rules.

Scrabble players! Don?t leave when you can?t start a game right away, every time a scrabble player leaves, another one comes in looking for a game. If you want to play scrabble, bring a book or grab one from the bookcase and sit with a scrabble board with a cup of coffee. I?ll buy the coffee until you get a game in. The worst thing that can happen is you read a good book, go the restroom a lot and stay up late.

There are always new games to learn and I expect a couple of card based games will be available to try out this week.

Luck Brothers Coffee House

Also, feel free to come hungry, I will be able to have food delivered by our neighboring restaurants and plan to offer some special treats for gamers. Make sure to order plenty of food so the owners continue to pay for the meetup service and justify my playing Catan, and ask for your 10% drink discount.

See you tonight,
-Andy

It was a good time with great snack foods (catan cup cakes) and plenty of people playing settlers!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
