Boardgames and Booze Monthly Meetup

I'll be hosting another game night at my house in Kirkland, come on over to imbibe some spirits, meet some gamers and have a good time! =) Let's keep it BYOB and if people are hungry we can pitch in for pizza. I'll provide some snacks, feel free to bring some as well. Here's a pretty up to date list of my games, if you'd like to play something else, feel free to bring it on over.

PS. We have a 7 yr old golden retriever and a new lab puppy, so if you are allergic we apologize in advance.

Just curious, but does anyone get a reminder when RSVPs open? Meetup sends an auto-generated email 6 days before the event, but RSVPs open 10 days before. Last month there was already a wait list before I even realized RSVPs were open. Last September there were 7 people RSVPd before the Meetup email was even sent.

I usually RSVP as soon as I get the email from Meetup, but I'm thinking that it might be a little unfair to new members when they don't realize RSVPs are even open until us "regulars" have already had four days to respond and fill out the slots. I just happened to check Meetup today for something unrelated, when I noticed that RSVPs were open. Other people probably won't have any idea until Saturday, the 3rd when they receive the normal 6-day notice email (or if they get a notification due to this posting)

    Thoughts?

As far as I can tell, there is no way to automatically announce a meetup. I already sync the meetup calendar to my google calendar, you just need to subscribe to the calendar ;)

go to the meetup calendar for this meetup and at the bottom there is an atom / ical / etc link you can use to subscribe in whatever your normal calendar app is.

Why is the RSVP closed if only 2 people are going?

Event hosts are RSVP'd yes automatically. RSVP's don't open to the public until 10 days before the event. So they are closed now but will open automatically.
