Let's Try 18th Century Tavern Games

That's not a typo.  This is an event sponsored by Montpelier House Museum of Laurel, MD.  It is being held at the Maryland City Library since Montpelier is currently being renovated.  From their description:

"Costumed Staff will teach old-fashioned tavern games.  There will be live music by Bedlam, who play 18th and 19th century tavern music and visitors may even learn an 18th century social dance.  Light tavern faire--all non-alcoholic--will be served.  Fun for the whole family."

When I called Montpelier today they assured me that although this event would be enjoyable to adults even though it is open to adults and children.

Buck was a fun game, but I prefer strategy card and board games.

You may have enjoyed Fox & Geese--the peg board game I started with, but it's only good for 2 people

What a great first meet. Can't beat learning new games, meeting new fine folks all to live music!

I am quite interested in this one. If work doesn't run over I will try to make this one

Sounds fun and my first event. If traffic is good I will arrive on time, otherwise hopefully punctuality is a little flexible for this?

I forgot to mention that the group is not charging for this event.
