Weekend Board Games @ Camden Co. Library - Are You a Werewolf Game?

***LIBRARY WILL BE OPEN OCT 28***

Allie is having a gathering at the Vogleson Library to play "Are you a Werewolf?"

"Are You a Werewolf?" is part-murder mystery, part-Survivor. There are two werewolves murdering innocent villagers. If you play as a villager (determined by dealing out cards which the players keep hidden), your goal is to figure out who the werewolves are. If you are a werewolf, your goal is to avoid detection while picking off the villagers one by one.

Unlike a murder mystery game where you're a specific character, you are only yourself. It is your own ability to lie and manipulate, or predict and deduce, that will get you through the game. Or it could be something as random as your shirt color. It really depends on the people involved.

Werewolf is based on a game called Mafia, so if you've played that, you already know how to play. Other people have compared to it Murder in the Dark, Murderer, and Seven-Up.

For further description of the game and how to play, please go to the following website:

FOOD THEME:

Halloween

Bring your goulish dips, your succulent desserts and hallowing delicious sandwiches ...

***Please post what food item you will be bringing. Thanks***

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP. We should have enough people for new players to sit out and watch how the game works to begin with.

Thanks & have fun! ~ Allie

Fun games, plenty of food and laughter. What a blast! My only complaint is that I wasn't the werewolf. LOL

Okay, I'm bringing pizza or chicken and I'm cool with nuts.

I just spoke to the library and they are not scheduled to close. With saying that, it is their discretion to do so if the weather becomes dangerous. I believe we will feel the brunt of the Hurricane Sandy in the late evening. I will be sending everyone my cell phone number so you can reach me tomorrow if you have any questions.

    Allie - No nut allergies

Gov. Chris Christie has declared a state of emergency for New Jersey, ahead of Hurricane Sandy's expected arrival.

The declaration was announced around 11 a.m. Does this affect us?

Allie, won't be in an elaborate costume... so I'll be just as dressed up as anyone not dressed up for the occasion... if that even makes sense

Liz... do I hear a Fear Factor themed Board Games meetup coming soon? The beverage is safe. It's just part of my Halloween costume. I'll let you be the judge.

I'll bring some trick or treat candy. Seems the easiest. Hope we're not rained out!

Hank - Thanks for the drinks. A mystery beverage, humm? As long as it doesn't have creepy crawlies or eyeballs, I will drink it. Maybe??? LOL

I'm bringing ice, iced teas, and a surprise healthy beverage for everyone (which I won't give away now). Hey, it's the meetup before Halloween!

Some food ideas: Soda or juice, pizza, hoagies, dip & veges, dessert, cupcakes, cookies, candy, fruit salad, cocktail meatballs, salad & dressings, salsa & tortilla chips, etc., etc., etc... I hope this list helps those who aren't sure what to bring. We hope to have close to 16 people join us.

Hi Game Players, We need for everyone to post what you will be bringing for the Meetup. I will take care of the paper products and bring a dish. Someone is already bringing soda. Tomorrow, I will post some suggestions for food ideas. Thanks!

I really wish I could come. I've seen this played before and I've always wanted to try it. Next time you do this, I'll be there.
