I'd like more details about this.  UB is a big place!  Can you come up with a map, and some idea about parking?

Hello everyone,

Steve Hoffman here, wanted to offer up an additional board gaming opportunity to anyone who doesn't know about it. UBCon is coming up April 11-13th, and I'm going to be running a board and card game library.

My goal is to keep the library open for the entire 48 hours of con, running from Friday night, going until Sunday evening.

Also, Dallas from Games Asylum, well known for its large library of games will be attending and teaching various board games. Games Asylum is not a game manufacturer or seller, they are a group of board gamers who decided that more people should know how to play their favorite games. They tend to encourage family friendly games. Dallas will be at Con Friday and Saturday.

I have a large collection of games personally, but if you have a favorite please feel free to bring it and share.

I have Carcassone, Settlers of Catan, Conquest of Pangea, All Looney Labs games, Many Cheapass games, Munch kin(all sets), Ticket to ride(Marklin and USA(1910), Metro, Risk, Diplomacy, Brainsss, and more.

Baldo's armory, a Board game dealer from Rochester will be in the dealers room, as well as many local board and card game dealers.

Hope you can all make it,

-Steve Hoffman

Hey, all!

First a quick intro; I signed up for the group awhile ago but haven't actually gone to a meeting... yet :). My name's Kevin.

I had an easy question if anyone cares to answer. I'm just looking for any local places that sell board games. Not that I'm expecting to learn of any that close, but I'm located in North Tonawanda.

I was hoping to get "Race for the Galaxy," but I'm also not getting my hopes up about that as it seems to be sold out everywhere (both online, and I was out in Rochester last weekend). I figured I'd still pose the question, though, as I haven't been to any game stores in Buffalo, and going to a few last weekend in Rochester I realized I missed it.

Thanks much, and take care.

Kevin

Announcing a new meeting for The Buffalo Boardgames Meetup Group!

What: April BACSIM

When: Saturday, April 5, 12:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meeting Description: Its April BACSIM time. Come join Grant and the BACSIM crew at Baldy Hall room 108 or 110 for a full day of gaming. People generally roll in around noon and gaming lasts until the last person leaves. Usually at some point a pizza is ordered, but feel free to bring whatever snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) you like. This is a great chance to see those longer games hit the table.
