Okay Guys,
I went home and went thru the new stuff and some old stuff. I put my name under the first choices I have (I only voted for three). I hoped this would save Don some typing. If we make ourselves only vote for three things, this idea will work. I do reserve the right to change my three choices later if something more interesting gets added to the list. By the way, Master Thieves is beautiful!!!!

Hey, everyone. I thought about my game collection a little today and have the following suggestions to add to Bobbie's list if the idea is (like we briefly talked about as we were leaving yesterday) not to split up into two groups next week.

Heimlich & Co. (up to 7): a little bit dated but still fun bluffing and deduction game where no one knows which color anyone else is but anyone can move and score any color

Frank's Zoo (up to 7): a cute trick taking card game where players try to get rid of their cards by devouring animals lower on the food chain (sort of)

There were a couple others that could handle that many players, but I'm not sure how well they'd go over in our group. I added these two to the bottom of Bobbie's list.

Three post-scripts:

1. It was REALLY hard to pick only three!

2. If we decide to split up into two groups, I'd prolly want to change my votes and/or suggest different games.

3. Don, I added you back in under Fearsome Floorssmile

I removed Joel's 4th vote. smile

Okay, now I am confused. Weren't we just doing games that could accomodate 7 or more? So why did Around the World get added? I want to play it, but with 7 or more we can't. Please clarify? Or is Joel being sneaky and pushing his own agenda for separate games?confused

If we do want to split for a game, I'm sure I could cajole someone to play Memoir 44 with me. Long as I get to try my hand at Fearsome Floors I'll be happy with whatever else we do. smile

No Bobbie, I just got caught up in the voting frenzy. I erased Don's vote cause I did not do a browser refresh. To make matters worse I did not fully read your header about games that could accomodate 7 players and only three votes.

I got a little overly excited to play Puerto Rico and Around the World in 80 days again, I really thought those two were really enjoyable. I would definitely recommend everyone try Around the World.

To be honest I have added Around The World and Puerto Rico to my Thoughthammer wish list

Okay, I removed Puerto Rico and Around the World because I think we have a lot of good 7 player games up there to choose from. I'm not saying that we couldn't do a split, but there's really a bunch to choose from and we should give them a shot while we have 7 people and save the 4 - 5 person games for the smaller turnout weeks.

To help Joel get his PR fix (I kind of need one myself) I'll set him up on www.brettspielwelt.de. If people are interested maybe we could setup an online game sometime.

In addition I'm going to throw Robo Rally out there, but I 'll ask for Doug's opinion as to wether or not it's going to work with this many people. I was trying to imagine what would slow down the game with more people. Certainly there would be a lot more collisions and lasers hits which would mean a lot more damage and possible deaths. Of course we could still keep the board smaller so that the game wouldn't take all night or maybe make only two check points. Let me know what you think.

Let the voting continue.
