It took me a while to find some of the material in the past but now the pieces of the puzzle are all there. You can see how I used some of your information in my last "About Us" page composition at: The Montreal Abraham-Hicks Meetup Group/Cell-A I think I am getting better at this...thanks to super nice people like you! Thanks again, Guy Paquette ![]() From Montreal, QC |

Hi Guy!
How did you find the information I provided to be useful? Perhaps in creating the design of your About page? I do like the design you created...very crisp and nice use of images. :) I'm happy if some of the links I provided were useful in some way to you! Merci pour le compliment! Hello Aurora,
Here is how and why I found your great post. I actually was upset with Meetup.com. 3 of my members have been unable to sign in with Meetup.com in the past two months and for no reason, could not sign in as member. (One of them happens to be my 75 year old sister and the other two are good friends) My two friends gave up and simply sign up again with a new e-mail address and a slight change of name. But my 75 year old sister does not have two e-mail addresses and is stuck. I wrote to Meetup to explain and they tell me that only her can do anything and she has to write from her e-mail address to them ....but they don't reply or do anything from there either. So, as organizer, I decided to find out if was the only one with this kind of problem and if it could be the reason why some of the other member, that I don't know personally, are also having the same "can't sign in" problem and not receiving my mail. I saw "organizer's forum" and the first thing I also saw was your write up in green and I said to myself...in "GREEN"... on the discussion line! That is neat!...How is it done? That is how I found your message board post. Now, I still have not found the answer to my original search and my 75 year old sister is still unable to sign in even though she has never changed her name nor her e-mail address for the past 6 months with Meetup.com. Other than that, I am SUPER HAPPY with Meetup.com. I greatly appreciate the way they operate and for the many opportunities they provide by creating new ways to find dedicated people like you.Lots of love, Guy |

Hi Guy,
To see the code I used to put GREEN in the discussion title, click on "Quote in Reply" on my first post and you will see what the code looks like. As for your sister's problem, check out this info on Meetup's Frequently Asked Questions page: 2. I can't remember my password. What should I do? Go to the Forgotten Password page. Enter the email address associated with your Meetup account, and click SUBMIT. A new password will be emailed to you. When you receive it, go to the Meetup login page, enter your email address, your new password, and click SUBMIT. Note: You should immediately change this new password to something of your choosing. To do so: Go to the Change Password page. Enter your current password, your new password, reenter your new password, and click SUBMIT . On the Forgot Your Password page: Forgot Your Password? Enter your email address below, and we'll email you instructions on how to change your password. Email address: Click on SUBMIT . On the Change Password page: Enter the following information: Your current password: Your new password: Retype your new password: Click on SUBMIT . See if this helps solve your sister's problem, Guy! Hmmm you just gave me an idea for a new list of links on the Essential links page. Thanks, Aurora ![]() Edited by Aurora on Oct 7, 2007 10:14 AM |

Thanks again Aurora,
I really appreciate your explanation about my sister and your sincere effort to help out but, you see, the route you explained did not work because for some reason Meetup does not recognize the e-mail address of the person who is trying to write to them. This procedure seems to work on some kind of automatic reply by Meetup.com...in other words it is automatic. And because it is automatic it is rejected (just because, for some strange reason, the Meetup.com computer perceives the e-mail address as invalid), and my sister, no matter how many times she would follow the procedure you indicated, would never get a response. Very frustrating I must say. What I found out on my own is that when, for some reason Meetup.com does not recognize what should be a valid e-mail address (in the mind of the member at least) is to write to a human being at Meetup.com by using the following address...which is not that easy for members to find in the first place. http://www.meetup.com... Today, I found out that 2 other members of my group are also having the same problem as my sister. Luckily for me, now I know what to tell them but only if they already have my personal e-mail address. They can't even use the envelope next to my name because they can't sign in anyway. They don't have access to me through Meetup unless they sign in...and they can't. As I mentioned to you before the other problem is that those people are not receiving my messages about current events and activities. Anyway, I thought of passing the information to you if it can help others. Bye for now, Guy ![]() Edited by Guy Paquette. on Oct 8, 2007 9:37 PM |
