Ok I know it was just put on but I do NOT like the Purchase Meetup Gear button next to our groups!!!!

I use Cafepress because I can put my groups logo on the shirts. Now I am having to post to my whole group NOT to use that link.

Those shirts would be great if our groups logo was on it and the meetup symbol was smaller. I have one and I never wear it. I always wear the one with my groups logo on it.

Pleeeeeaaaaaase why dont you ask if this is something we like before adding it? I am sad now!

Each member would have to "customize" the shirt to the way the rest of the group has them. There should be an option for the Organizer to create the shirt the way they want it and then the rest of the group can purchase them.

This is what my Cafepress shirts look like. (Please note that I do not like using cafepress but they had the best options and my group does not mark up the prices at all)

Nice logo...I wish I had known....just paid $200 to a company to come up with what I think is an "alright" but not great logo. Would have rather paid you!

I also posted to the other area of discussion...but again, I'll state..when I sell items with my logo as the predominant logo, and the meetup logo tiny - I don't kick any of my profits back to Meetup. Why should they kick back profits when they sell things that have the Meetup logo prodominant, and the name of my group tiny?

Whether it's their item, or my item..both advertise my group...and that's priceless.

rita you are not 100% correct... every time I hand our group card to a potential member or sponsor or just a friend so they have my phone #... meetup is promoted... they insured their promotion by including their site name in my groups URL...

meetup logo or not... there they are... meetup.com! love struck

I think I am 100% correct in saying what I said...

All I said was:

1. If I sell an item with my own logo, I am promoting my group; and

2. If meetup sells an item with their logo, but the name of my meetup under that - they are also promoting my group (by mentioning my group name on their item).

Both ways listed above advertise my group.

That was all I said....

Rita, is that logo just for the group or did you put it on merchandise?

I put a logo on merchandise and now I doubt that my stuff will ever sell....not when my members have to searching for the link to my cafepress store. I would love the option to put my cafepress store there and not zazzle.
