this is the first time its really stymied me...i searched for more than 20 minutes, couldn't come up with it in 7 pages of threads.

the rather important post was made in a different topic thread by another of our organizers (who happens to be notorious for doing that), and duh, i didn't correct it right away since it was important and i figured the other AOs responsible would jump right on it. but they didn't, now i realize, and i need to find it to point them back in the right direction.

if i could have moved the post, rather than quoting and copying, which i think really takes away from the general "feel" of MB participaton, if you know what i mean, i would have done so right away. or, if we had forums, that post would have probably ended up in the right forum, so instead of seven pages of threads it might have only been one or two.

but i'll settle for a simple search.... please?

There are ways to currently search if you have an active enough board. This was mentioned by some others in a different thread. Just type your group name into a search engine and include the phrase you want.

An example for my group...

SEARCH:
Sacramento Hiking Meetup Group Tahoe Rim Trail messages


results produce:
gives me the discussions for our hikes there.

ok, i searched for this string:

"GO Philly Adventure Organizers messages hike rating steve"

came up with profiles of every Steve in my adventure group and organizers' groups all over the place, a "meetup organizer of the week" profile from 2006, and even a pearl jam message board (not meetup!) but none from the group i wanted.

tweaked it to read "message board" instead of "messages" and even threw in "meetup".....nuthin.

it's a private group, i'm guessing (hoping?) that's the reason it's not coming up?

most likely that is the reason as it probably would just kick you back to your main page. I am not an internet savvy person, but that would be my guess. Best of luck with this issue.
