I like the cleaner page, but when members rate an event, there should be a place right there for them to post a comment about the meetup. This forces an extra step to place comments about the meetup.

My meetups are about the meetup, not the venue. ....

I think this change will result in fewer comments, and make it more difficult for the organizer to get feedback about an event.

ditto!

It has ALWAYS been like that.
Think about it...all the survey is is an url...right? That event still has an "event" number attached to it, everything put on the calendar either an EVENT(canceled or not) or NOTE can be RATED doing the renee method.
I have been saying this for a few years now, there has to be a more fair and accurate way to record group ratings!

I don't remember there ever being a link on the event before asking you to rate the canceled event, though. Has that always been there? Even if we could have rated it, we weren't ask to do it before, if I remember correctly.

The Renee Method let you go in and rate events you didnt even attend so ya in a way we have always been able to do this. There is just a link for it now.

The Renee method let you go back and rate events that you didn't RSVP for, but I don't think that method worked on events that were CANCELED.

I have a canceled event, on my calendar with the line thru it.. and when you click on it, it asks you to rate this event, and then lets you.

WHAT! I will admit that I haven't read this thread yet, but I just returned from one of the most fun events we had only to find that I can't post a comment about the event when I rate it. Yes, I see that I can talk about the meetup on the event page but it makes people go to two places instead of doing it all in one place. I don't like this, and I have NEVER complained about updates before. Why change what was working just fine???

Past meeting page update

We've updated the past meeting page so that you and your members can share your memories and experiences after the meeting happens!

Dumb question: Weren't members already leaving comments after the meeting?? That e-mail about "Rate The Meetup You Went to"?? Did I miss something, or was that "Rate Your Meetup" e-mail never ever really sent after the meeting??

It already *was* after the meeting...! Hello? *knock, knock* Anyone from Meetup staff there?

(Maybe there was a loophole that used to let you leave comments before the meeting occurred, and this "upgrade" fixed that loophole... a-ha! That must be it....)
