I was directed her to give my thoughts on the rating survery...this was from another thread/post but I am not going to pick through it and edit it all....
ok a few other things to consider... for one, stop making changes every moment and changing one thing to only change it again...THAT is CONFUSING!!! Can't you put up a poll for us all to vote on this stuff??? We PAY you guys and we don't get any say in any of this stuff and it's frustrating. I see you are trying to get information to fix the calendar section, but ya'll keep changing stuff every 10 minutes, how are we supposed to tell you what we want if you all are changing it moment to moment and we can't even get used to it, before it changes again. :( Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put back the section to share your thoughts about an EVENT...that was very useful and helpful. Now you have it so when someone goes to rate the event they don't see a spot to say anything, and either they will say it in the venu section, or the group comments which is stupid because it won't belong there and is hard to get to those comments, but people may not see another choice when they are USED to LEAVING A comment about the event....And now once people leave the rating they aren't going to take the time to go back in and post a comment through the discussion area...they aren't going to even KNOW that is there. You guys are making things more confusing..... ![]() However I DO like the new star ratings with the Great, Good, Bad listed underneath each star rating that is very helpful. _______________________________ Ok I think there are going to be MAJOR issues with the change in the rate the event survey....before when you clicked to rate it, it would ask you did you attend YES or NO... NOW it takes you straight to the survey to rate it and in VERY TINY type is a little link that says click here if you didn't attend....AND then you can say you didn't attend. I can just see it now, maybe not as much in my group but I know PLENTY of other groups that this will be a major issue. That people will not pay attention and will rate it 1 star or something and say...they didn't go for whatever reason. I am REALLY REALLY not liking this new survey, it is NOT user friendly at all!!! PLEASE HELP!! Make it back like it was before, where you had to click to say yes or no if you attended and give us back the area to say what you thought about the EVENT. PLEASEEEEEE!! ![]() ******I DO LIKE IT HOW FROM WHEN YOU DID THE CHANGE OVER TO MAKING EVENT COMMENTS BE PLACED IN THE DISCUSSION AREA, THAT OLD MEETINGS THAT ALREADY HAD EVENT COMMENTS FROM THE OLD WAY ARE IN THE AREA UNDER THE ATTENDANCE...I L-O-V-E THAT, THAT IS PERFECT, AND WE CAN STILL CHOOSE TO DISCUSS THE EVENT MORE IF WE WANT TO IN THE DISCUSSION AREA. THAT WOULD BE GREAT. BUT TO MAKE THE SURVEY 3 SECTIONS WITH 3 DIFFERENT RATINGS, ONE FOR THE "EVENT" FIRST, THE NEXT ONE FOR THE "VENUE" AND THE 3RD ONE FOR THE OVERALL GROUP RATING. AND HAVE A COMMENT BOX FOR EACH SECTION...I THINK THAT IS PRETTY SIMPLE AND PEOPLE CAN CHOOSE TO FILL OUT THE BOXES OR NOT. AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET RID OF THE DUMB THUMBS UP THING.... ![]() |

Do Meetup people read or respond regularly to this forum? I've seen some comments from them but it seems like this issue of the comments is being ignored.

Do Meetup people read or respond regularly to this forum? I've seen some comments from them but it seems like this issue of the comments is being ignored. Of course it's ignored... Meetup staff only cares what a few select favored organizers say - those power organizers who *do* post here, from time to time, get things changed (a previous 'upgrade' on RSVP comments was changed in a matter of minutes when *they* complained). However, they are conspicuously absent on upgrades that obviously don't care to offer their feedback on. It's like they're the Super-Delegates with the clout. I can't name names, because that violates board ground rules, but trust me on this: There are 'power organizers' who can sneeze and Meetup staff will be at their beck and call. If only I had a quarter for every time I've seen it happen.... |

I actually don't have a problem with leaving the "talk about this meeting" section as is. I simply want my members to actually be able to leave comments in the survey like they once were able to. I think many organizers will agree with me that the last thing they want to do is send out yet ANOTHER e-mail to members trying to solicit feedback. My members already complain that they get too many e-mails. Unfortunately, since none of the "special organizers" have complained about this feature, I guess I'll have to figure out a new way to get meaningful feedback. I'm really disgusted that meetup thinks it is perfectly okay to IGNORE complaints from PAYING customers. The only meetup response to this issue was a very vague sorry you're not happy response. No indication as to whether anything will be done about it. Much more response given to other questions about this "upgrade". Not a very good way to do business. as for the survey, i'm not entirely sure since i've only done it once. i wish there was a way to be sure someone who didn't attend doesn't give it stars. when we "edit attendance", do the no-show's ratings disappear? Nope. Once somebody rates an event, you are stuck with it. So if your no-shows decide to give the event one star, well, you do the math. |

Julie, Meetup does read every response on here. They do not however respond to each one. Please do not get discouraged as they are listening. Rachel ![]() |

Some of my members are starting to complain that the logo is annoying. I find it annoying too. Is there a way to just leave it static? We have a very active forum and it is annoying to see the Meetup logo change everytime we post and change pages. |

Do Meetup people read or respond regularly to this forum? I've seen some comments from them but it seems like this issue of the comments is being ignored. Who is asking them to respond to every post? If they REALLY did read all these post and were really listening they would say something by now other than "thanks for the feedback". Heck if they sent out surveys and read them I can't imagine based on the MAJORITY of people who posted their obvious dislike for the "Rate the Meetup" change that they could come to the conclusion that this change would be a good idea. It has been two days since my event in the Keys and other than myself not a single person posted a comment. I see five ratings, one post(I'm the one post). That means four people think they posted a comment like they usually did but because of the change it's not showing. So tell me how is that survey useful if its rating the event but no one knows. If the Meetup staff are listening the impression is that based on their "silence" it doesn't matter what we say. |

PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD EVENT PAGE WHERE YOU CAN LEAVE COMMENTS...THE PAGE LOOKS JUST LIKE A MEETUP.....AND WHY HAVE THE PHOTOS ON THIS PAGE ALSO......I SEE RATINGS BUT NO COMMENTS ON HOW THE EVENT WENT..I DO DINNERS SO I NEED TO KNOW IF THE LADIES ENJOYED THE MEAL OR NOT.....WITHOUT THIS I HAVE NO WAY TO DECIDE IF WE ARE GOING TO GO BACK......
PLEASE BRING IT BACK ![]() |

Hey everyone,
We have been reading this thread and paying attention. I wanted to give a quick response. I've brought the issue back up here to put the event question back in the post-Meetup survey, so we will see how that goes. I don't have any more details to give now, but we will keep you posted. |
