Bring back the Event Comments!

Here is a great suggestion to make meetup better, Bring back the Event Comments!!!!
It was working so well, I am still confused as to how you can call it an improvement to remove something that is so beneficial to the organizing of our groups.

As a paying organizer, lets make our voices heard! Apparently meetup staff need help with listening to what the basic needs are of our groups...

Please leave a message here if you would like this function brought back to your group!
There is a thread going on under the updates section, but it seems to be going no where with making a change. Lets get the attention of the meetup staff, who we pay.

Best of luck with that Julia. There are now multiple threads that contain our frustrations and concerns and so far, there has been VERY little said from the Meetup staff and the little that was said didn't even address the pages and pages and pages of concerns. I'm just trying to focus my energies on my groups and hoping that eventually they will 'do the right thing' but all of our posting doesn't seem to be helping, so I have abandoned my efforts.

I would post it there, except a meetup staff member has now closed that thread! I guess they really don't want to listen. This is just getting ridiculous. I agree with all of you, thanks for putting this into perspective for me. I am going to focus my energies in my group, its obviously not worth wasting my time on this. Its sad that they removed something that was so beneficial and helpful to us orgs.

I find my members aren't writting comments anymore, and this feature is not a success.

Great! Glad to see its comming back =)
Its a shame it was taken off in the first place. We had our annual easter egg festival, with months of planning and over 100 in attendance last weekend. What a shame we will never get event feed back from this event.

I also just had our groups Easter Egg hunt and I put a link on our Message board to post comments since everyone was talking about it and I got 47 comments. Maybe you should try doing something like that until they put it back on.
