What happened to the ratings?

Am I going blind or have the ratings vanished? In the past a member could take an exit survey after an event and their comments would be posted on the event page. That doesn't happen anymore. The surveys are still being taken -- I can see that "X" members rated the event.

But, none of the comments show up on the event page.

And if I, as the organizer cant' find them -- how can the average member find them?

What's the purpose of rating events if the feedback can't be viewed?

Jeff,

The post event survey has changed some. The comments are no longer displayed as they used to be. The comments you are referring to are now the comments shown on the About Page and on the Welcome Page. The other comment box is the location. To post a comment about the event please direct your members to the event posting on the calendar and you can post in the Talk About This Meeting section next to the attendance list.

wowzers,

that's ridiculous. we (organizers) need to know feedback specific for events and now we can't.

the talk about this meetup is for discussion prior to the event. the event wrap has always been done in 'rate this event' and those comments always appeared on the event page.

what's the point of members rating the events at all if their feedback isn't displayed for the organizer to see in an intuitive fashion anymore?

Any chance of making the ratings an option that the Organizer can turn on or off like the Message Board?

Some groups have members who seem to use the ratings to foster drama and hurt feelings.

Other groups have members who don't use the rating system at all.

And there are still other groups whose members rate every event a 5 star event anyway, so what's the use in even bothering if everything is so perfect?

I would actually love to make a formal request to Meetup to turn off the rating feature for our group as well. It has ONLY served to create hurt feelings for our momma members who work hard to plan and host creative playdates - only to have a friend give it a mediocre rating but with no accompanying feedback - so of course our hosts never know what they could have done better.

We would love to have the rating feature turned off. Can you please let us know if this is possible?

Here's the place for that, a forum for organizers to make suggestions. When you post suggestions on this particular forum, other organizers may agree/disagree, but Meetup staff is able to react more efficiently to your suggestions in the appropriate forum.

Hey everyone,

As Wayne noted the best place to post this is in the Suggestions To Make Meetup Better forum. I can say though that this has been suggested before and that Meetup is aware of the requests for this.
