Hi
I want to thank meetup for this nice adjustment. I like the -member comment for the event on the event listing -it displays the number of ratings -quick click on the location to see if anyone commented on the location!! YAY!! ![]() Thank you :). I agree with this gal 100%!!! Please please separate the event and group ratings. My group just doesn't get it and throws 3&4 ratings around for no apparent good reason. We had a great time! 3 stars. Thank you for fixing the comments for us! I really do appreciate that meetup listened to the feedback.
And YES, please, please make ratings optional, or at least make the overall group rating based on a relevant measure instead of an average of event ratings. Thanks!!! |

Thank you, thank you, thank you for putting the event question back in the survey! My members are commenting again - yippee! I also really like being able to click on the venue to see those comments; thanks for adding this "ease of us" feature.

I don't know how much of a difference this will make. For movie and restaurant events that I have held, I have found that ratings are more closely correlated to turnout and the fun factor. The movie can suck, but then if the group went out for dinner or dessert and everybody had a great time, then it gets reflected in the ratings. A one star movie could result in a decent 4.6 stars rating for the event. I wouldn't do away with the event ratings. We can have the group rating in addition if there's enough support behind it. Meetup, thanks for restoring what was already good and worked :-). This is proof that you do listen. You guys have come up with swell ideas, and it's unfortunate that the credit is in short supply because of the perceived goofs. The best looking dress or suit can be spoiled by the smallest of stains. So how do we get you to stop shooting yourself in the foot? Clearly, you are due more credit than you are getting. |

I personally would prefer a rating and comment section for all three subject matters...event, group and venue...but decided that just doesn't seem to be happening. So if we are limited to just two ratings and they are just adament about keeping the venue rating..then I'd rather get rid of the event rating and have a group rating.
And another HUGE thank you for restoring comments in surveys again. I think this may have actually woke up a few of the members who didn't realize what they had until it was gone. The comments are rolling back in in abundance and more lengthy now! I love it! |

i would prefer that the voting on comments crap go before the star rating. rating your group with stars is definitely more helpful of the two.
thanks for the info Maya! |

Hi,
I just used the edit attendance feature to add myself to an event that I didn't plan on going to, so didn't rsvp for. After doing so, I found that I couldn't comment on or rate it. I have quite a few members who--unfortunately--just show up. It would be nice if they had the ability to rate events after I add them. Is this something that can be implemented? Also, I noticed that the number of attendees that I put in is not the number thats reflected in the "estimated number attended". It still shows the number of people that rsvp'd (whether they showed or not) unless I go through and manually edit attendance, which is a pain. I have to go through the entire membership roster (400+ people), which wouldn't be too bad except some people don't use their real names, and often I forget their names. Simply not practical. I guess I could make them my "guests", but again, then they wouldn't be able to rate the event (although I guess that doesn't matter since they cannot anyway). At the very least, would it be possible to include both the yeses and the maybes together for editing purposes? Thanks! |
