Jesse,
I feel sort of "dumb" asking this, but ... what/where is the "event listing page" you are discussing? Thanks, ~Pamela~ |

why do I have to pay Meetup or Zazzle to list my group name? I don't understand what you mean. You can put whatever name you want on a Zazzle product but you have to pay to get a product from them. Can someone from Meetup please explain why "Fun Group Name" as a group name won't show up on the events calendar and 'free' organizer tools but instead, we get boring, generic 'coffee' or 'singles' or whatever? My GROUP NAME isn't 'coffee' or 'singles.' I don't know any group organizers who named their group 'coffee' or 'singles.' AFAIK, the topic name (coffee or singles) only shows up on two logo links. The other org tools don't show topic names and are customizable with your group name. We can't generate unique group names on our logos for all Meetups, but you're welcomed to take a logo and add your group name to the red part if you want to use it as an image or make customizable items from it. You're not restricted from doing that. |

Why have the (t-shirt ) promotion for gear at all on the left margin? We already have a tool for promoting our groups within our settings under the grow tab and it gives the option to create a shop there.

Why have the (t-shirt ) promotion for gear at all on the left margin? We already have a tool for promoting our groups within our settings under the grow tab and it gives the option to create a shop there. Why??? Because it promotes meetup in general. If it was intended to help promote my group, I would be able to modify that area to link to my CafePress store where meetup is not mentioned, or to use custom Zazzle stores rather than the generic one that defaults to the ugly meetup logo instead of my group's beautiful logo. I have to relegate my store to the back pages of About Us instead of on most pages while meetup logos get top billing. Saying this is to help me promote my group is a bold faced lie in my opinion. For proof, I offer that several options people have asked for to correct this abomination have not been made available, only excuses. Adding a simple option to either eliminate or create custom code for this area is not difficult and any first year web student knows how to do it. |

Why have the (t-shirt ) promotion for gear at all on the left margin? We already have a tool for promoting our groups within our settings under the grow tab and it gives the option to create a shop there. The reason we added the link to the Meetup Shop on the group pages is to create awareness and get even more organizers to create customized items to promote their Meetups. Many organizers and members don't know that they can go onto Cafepress and Zazzle and create their own shops. Or, they don't want to or can't spend a lot of time or money. I know that when we launched the shop promo, many of you asked to be able to customize the url that the t-shirt points to, so that it could redirect to your own store. It's a project that's still in the works and we hope to get it out as soon as it's ready! |

My calendar "twitch" seems to be fine now....My AO & I just noticed it that night, but haven't since....Thanks Andrea!
And I appreciate the "baby steps" you're taking to get us the new stuff (eventually even the way we want it-personalized), even if it isn't all done in one day ![]() I'll check back for the next upgrade info ![]() |

Does "customize the url that the t-shirt points to" mean that organizers will be given the choice to use Cafe Press if they want to use Cafe Press? I don't like Zazzle. |

Yeppers. Any site they want: etsy, cafe press, custom ink, their own e-commerce store. Whatever. |

Not sure which week this was rolled out, but I like the way past events are set up now on the calendar, to include all comments, including pre and post-meetups, as well as the expansion and collapse of the meetup description. Very nice! Thanks, Meetup!

don't think this is relevant here, but i have to agree with mindy. love love love it!!!!
![]() not a release that is totally necessary or that i was expecting, but i think it might work in the long run.....hesitant to jump on doing anything really super new and/or revolutionary right now, since it might change ever so slightly again, but eventually..... |
