I would like the photo uploading feature to be able to upload more than one pic at a time. We typically upload over 50 pictures per event and this can be very time consuming to indiviually upload especially when we range over 3 events per week.

I would just love it if you can re-arrange all the photos once they are up on the site. This way the moderator can "tell a story" with all of the photos posted.

I have mixed feelings about more pictures in one pass. The more pictures that are uploaded, the longer it will take to upload them, it really won't save much time. And I've had a few instances where the upload 'broke' and I had to do it all over again. I guess it wouldn't hurt to have it, and then those that don't want to use it don't have to. I would love to be able to set a limit on how many pictures non-organizers can upload. I have a few people who don't 'get' that quality is better than quantity, and will upload 50 or more pictures, some just the same shots at different angles. I've asked people to restrict their uploads to 20/album so that everyone has a chance to upload. Then, when that album gets close to full, I'll create another one. I hate to come down on individuals for something this unimportant, but I hate waking up in the morning and finding 5 emails from people who couldn't post pictures because another member posted 75. |

I would vote YES on more pictures in one pass.

I usually only upload 5 photos at a time anyway because too many times when I've tried to upload 10 at a time there was some sort of error which caused me to start all over again and reload the same 10 pics. So, unless the uploader was more reliable I wouldn't see any benefit in being able to upload more than 10 at a time. Besides that, even with my cable connection it seems to take a really long time.

I will kinda/sorta reverse what I said before because I don't think I fully understood the original post the first time. It would be great to be able to select 5-10 pictures AT ONE TIME instead of having to select one picture at a time for each box.
Having the ability to upload more than 10 at a time isn't something I need, but if other's do then so be it. |
