Hey Mark ~

Out of curiosity....do you guys plan to ever install an instant messenger so group members can chat online away from events? I think this would be a great feature to add to meetup.

I can't be so polite-

That would be duh! It's about time you caught up with the 90's.. er... 2000's

no need to integrate an IM program into Meetup- there are enough stand-alone programs you can use to chat.

I feel the same... Message Boards if you need them, email and about a dozen other programs already out there are fine for instant messaging. I wouldn't WANT to message people on Meetup because that's not the purpose of being here. Remember, "Using the internet to get off the internet" and all.

Hi Mark,

Any chance future updates could be scheduled at a more convenient time? Something like 3 AM on a Sunday? We just moved our group to Meetup a couple of weeks ago. I'm having a little trouble getting buy in from the membership. Most of my members check the site when they get in the office. Which happens to be between 9 and 9:30 AM. This is the second 9 AM update since we've signed up. So of course the site has been completely down twice already. Why 9 AM EST?

Hi Mark -

Has there been any progress with changing the location of the sponsors because, as is, the more sponsors a group has the farther down "What's New" goes and rotating the sponsors manually to give them all equal exposure becomes extremely cumbersome.

Thanks.
