Thanks it's cool. Is there a way to upload a photo in an e-mail to members, not just in scheduling a meetup.
I find that the way to add an image is to post a link to an image. But, I am wanting to put an image from my computer INTO the e-mail. Thanks if you can let me know if this is possible, or if you can think of how to do it. Thanks, Ariel Banister Organizer |

there is a bug when canceling an event. if i check the "remove from calendar" option, when i go to email members and want to notify only those who RSVP'd "Yes", the event is missing from the drop down list. apparently the event is removed from the application cache, or perhaps the database table, before the cancellation process is complete (deleted on the previous page so it does not carry forward to the next page to notify members). this really is an error that needs corrected. canceling an event is as significant, if not more so, as scheduling an event. |

It'd be nice to see a feature where I can see what I've said Yes/maybe to rather than scroll through a list of events across the various groups I've joined. Many times, I've forgotten to export to my google calendar and double/triple booked myself for events in the future that I'm interested in.

I had the same issues with scheduling events - clicking on edit only made the word disappear. I could not select options for RSVP, limiting attendance, etc. This was a couple of days ago.

Thanks it's cool. Is there a way to upload a photo in an e-mail to members, not just in scheduling a meetup. Ariel, when you choose to email your members, you can use the Meetup email function, which is severely limited, or, copy-n-paste the MAILING LIST (if you have one) and use an external program with full email functionality. However, in the external program, you'd want to be cautious about your REPLY-TO email - do you want your members to have your email? ** You can open a public email - gmail, hotmail, yahoo, or a zillion others - and name it something like MyMeetupGroup@hotmail.com - so you can have an open, public email for all your members to contact you. Downside: you'll get spammed, no doubt, but that's a price one pays for using these (free!!) email services. Spam filters aren't bad on most of them, but you also have to check these emails... |

Hi Crystal, Can you send along more details - what browser and operating system you're using? And what group this happened in? Contact me through my profile email if you don't mind and we'll look into this asap. Thanks! Edited by Jesse Richards on Jul 8, 2009 12:07 PM |

Would it be possible to add the expand all link just above the sections? I missed it until Iread these posts.
Not sure why you created the sections I typically have something in each section anyway. perhaps there can be a profile option to expand all automatically? Duffy |

All good points, and all are absolutely known to Meetup already.
All those arguments were brought up and po-pooed by Meetup well before the feature was released. This in large part is why I am no longer part of the preview group. The fact that there is an expand all option AT ALL took a very bitter and hard fought battle with much collateral damage. Perhaps now that people are STILL asking the same questions even after some concessions were made will be noted at long last. Len |
