Hi everyone,
If you like to print out your RSVP list to check people in at your Meetups, your life just got a lot easier. We've made a bunch of updates to make that list more useful and easier to use: - We changed the name of the link (from "Print summary" to "Print RSVPs") and moved it closer to the actual RSVP list (check under "Who's coming") - You can now sort by member name or RSVP type! - If you asked members questions when they RSVP, you can choose to show or hide those answers when you print. - You can choose to hide photos and the Meetup description when you print. - You can still see member comments and how many guests they're bringing. Thanks! Maya (Click on the example below to make it bigger. Please note that for this Meetup, members were not asked to answer questions when they RSVP.) ![]() |

Too much wasted paper ---
When you're printing photos, you can only get 8 people per page, and the "comments" section takes up the entire right 1/2 of the page. (I print photos because we have 4 Debras & 5 Melissas) Without printing photos, it is possible to get about 15 people per page - which is an improvement -- but in that print (without photos) the names take up the entire left 1/2 of the page. I would like to be able to print PHOTOS/NAMES ONLY --- and hide the comments. And I would like to be able to do that in a more concise format --- maybe 4 columns of 8 PHOTOS/NAMES for an event. Then we'd be able to print 1 page with 32 photos/names & take it to the event. That's the format that I usually put together on my own --- so I can pass a few around at the meetup. It helps people to learn names. Edited by ~ Toni ~ on Nov 2, 2009 7:17 PM |

If you copy and paste the RSVP list into MS Word or any other word processing program, you can tweak the document and printer settings to conserve paper and adjust the tables to hide or expand to your liking.
E.g. for an event with 20 people, I was able to print out all RSVPs, photos, RSVP questions by reducing the margins and printing 2 pages on each side. So, rather than printing out the list on 3 pieces of paper, I was able to print it out on one page (double-sided). |

A very nice new feature - however, you canīt print event description, without the RSVP list
if you use a printout of those who paid, instead of the RSVP list, you donīt need the RSVP list. Additionally, RSVP list is not good to keep track at event, as it has nick names, many times 2 or more people have exactly the same nick name and it creates confusion. But no matter what, you will always need a printout of event description, there always is somebody who will come and tell you there were no instructions on where we meet, there was no map, etc etc. All not true, of course, and I have a printout under the sleeve to show they are using lame excuses for not having read the event description. please consider adding a print event description without the RSVP list... I'm new to meetup. When I open up my meetup site the "Who's Coming" does not show and I never know who has RSVP'd an event or the number that they are bringing.
Also - If I can't attend an event how do I "un-rsvp" myself. Basic questions I'm sure but I'm stomped. |

I'm new to meetup. When I open up my meetup site the "Who's Coming" does not show and I never know who has RSVP'd an event or the number that they are bringing. Hey there, Hmm, when you go to your Meetup Group's home page, you can either scroll down to the upcoming Meetup you wish to view, or you can go to the calendar and see your Meetups listed there as well. After you click on the desired Meetup, you should see the 'Who's Coming' list on the right side. For instance, you can see this here, on your November 7th Meetup. From that page, for instance, you can also click on 'Change your mind about attending?' to change your RSVP. Does that help? Please give that a try, and let me know if you have any trouble. This is a great improvement, thanks! If I don't need the comments, and to avoid the extra paper issue, I might still use my current practice of printing the list using "Edit RSVPs" ... you get many more members per page that way. It's nice to be able to do it either way, however. Thanks!!
Funny, I never have a need for printing the event description. It just goes to show how differently different groups operate :-) |
