While motherhood is the most rewarding 'career' of all, it can also be isolating, stressful, and scary. More than ever, a woman working through the challenges of raising kids needs a support system that she can rely on; one that is comprised of other women who understand what she is going through because they're going through it too.
BAM-B was created for this very purpose: to build a framework for women of young children to come together and start strong friendships that last a lifetime. The kind of friends that you can complain to about your hectic day; that you can laugh with about your zany kid, that you can call at 2am to mourn with over a personal tragedy.
While the main goal of this group is to bring moms together, we won't tell our beloved children that. We'll let them think it's all about them, with an active calendar full of activities and events geared just for them. And if you're lucky enough to get a babysitter every now and then, we'll post some moms-only activities that you can attend sans kiddos.
So who can join? This group is for mothers with children born in 2005, 2006, 2007, or 2008. If you have children in this age group, and you are looking for a reason to ditch the decade-old, spit-up stained sweats by getting out, getting to know people, and taking advantage of what lovely Boise has to offer, then this group is for you!
While BAM-B is not exclusively for stay-at-home moms, most of the activities will take place during typical work hours. Events will usually be held in Boise and Meridian, but occassionally we'll venture out farther. Our goal will be to choose many activities that are free or low-cost, but a few might be a bit pricier.
