Bueno Cheapo Vino - Private Tasting of Washington Wines

  • Taste 6 great Washington wines, several award winners!
  • Cheese Platter and wine by the glass
  • Learn about Washington AVAs and their wines

Washington has 700 wineries in 13 appellations (AVAs) and is the second largest wine producing State.  Of course, we can't taste all of their wines but Patrick at Bueno Cheapo Vino has selected six affordable wines from the six biggest producing appellations:  Walla Walla, Yakima, Columbia Valley, Horse Heaven Hills, Red Mountain and the Wahluke Slope.  The price of the wines from $15 to $30/bottle and will be for sale also.

Our private after-hours tasting will include cheese platters.

A sneak preview

Gifford-Hirlinger's Stateline Red received 91 points from Wine Enthusiast (Aug. 2012)

Kiona's Lemberger is called a cult classic and has been produced since 1980.  Kiona was the first US winery to produce Lemberger.

Powers Winery was named by Wine Enthusiast as one of the 50 great Cabernet producers. We are tasting it.

More at the tasting.  You won't want to miss this educational overview of some of the greats from Washington State.

Enjoyed meeting new people in a good group size where everyone could mingle comfortably. Discovered exactly what kind of reds I prefer and why I like the ones that I like!
