Blind Side-by-Side Tasting at CRUSH in Eagle

We are launching our blind side-by-side tasting series at Crush Wine Bar in Eagle.  Once each month we will meet at a wine bar to learn and distinguish between wine varietals - and of course, enjoy the wine while we sip and critique.

Amy, co-owner at Crush, is working on putting together 4 different bottles of the same varietal for us to taste and identify.  Each wine will be from a different state and/or country and we will have a wine expert present to educate us on the varietal and give us pointers to help identify one wine from another.

This event is for the person who is interested in learning about wine.  It is not just a social drinking function like our Wine'd Down Wednesdays.  Please be on time, because we will all taste the wines at the same time so as to allow engaging conversation about the wine as we taste.

Crush will pour 3oz of each wine for an equivalent total pour of two full glasses.  Expect to pay upwards of $20.

Feel free to come before early, but for those of you who are coming from work, we won't start the Blind Tasting until 6:30.

CRUSH hosted a wonderful tasting to kick off our blind side-by-side series. Amy surprised us with delicious appetizers to bring out the flavors of the wines and Brian from Amphora Wine Company guided our palates with an informative and entertaining education on the characteristics of the varietal we were tasting. All in all, it was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all!

I want to bring 4-6 family members visiting from Brazil - RSVP won't let me add more than one.

Robin Young, Be sure to go to Fujishin Family Cellars in Sunnyslope. Martin Fujishin makes some of the best wine you will taste. It is on Highway 55 and in a long white wood building. You won't want to miss it.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
