Welcome to Comité Contemporary!
We are a group based in the Fremantle area, brought together to allow a parlay of our common interest in modern contemporary literature, and intelligent conversation on the books we have chosen to read as a group.

Beware! Preferably NO Jodi Piccoult or Bridget Jones' Diary here! This is a group for guys and girls aged twenty or thirty something to get together and share their genuine love for quality writing.

I have found many book clubs to have a strong house-wife type bias, and although this is perfectly fine, that this bias can carry over to book choice and the flavour of discussions. Not only am I a guy, but I love occasions where a group has a wonderful balance of gender, outlooks, experiences, and aim to build a diverse group with a common interest. Invite your friends! The more the merrier...
