Favourite Book?

Oooooh, tricky. The first decent literary novel I read was Tim Winton's The Riders. I was 12, and it blew my mind. It's stayed with me ever since, so I'll nominate that one.

Favourite Author?

At the moment it'd be a draw between Craig Silvey (author of Rhubarb) and Danielle Wood (The Alphabet of Light and Dark)

Prefer Caffeine or Alcohol?

Depends on the time of day. For an evening meet, beer or wine is good- however, to begin with I'll keep the meets places where we can get either until we figure out peoples preferences.

I started it! I wanted a book club that was for people genuinely interested in decent lit- not one of those clubs that seem to exist only to give readers of mainstream poor-quality fiction a reason to leave the house once a month...
