Last Minute Movie Outing! - The Great Gatsby

Ruth and I are going to see the Great Gatsby at 5:00pm on Saturday - please join us - RSVP so I can group e-mail you the meeting place, time phone number etc etc
F Scott Fitzgerald's classic, complex novella of bad timing and lost love in the Jazz Age has been brought once again to the cinema, now starring Leonardo DiCaprio as the enigmatic young plutocrat Gatsby himself; Carey Mulligan as Daisy, the object of his passion, and Tobey Maguire as Daisy's cousin Nick, the outsider-insider through whose wondering narration the story is filtered.

Great film, beautiful cast and costumes, stunning parties, tragic and nostalgic. I think the acting wasn't as good as in the 1974 film. However, I did enjoy the film and the 3d gave added visual value.
Drink and chats in Zizzi afterwards was enjoyable too!

The movie was pretty good, a visual treat, perhaps a little longer than ideal, very sad...... but the Robert Redford version remains my favourite. Drinks and chat afterwards was lovely, great company as ever with this group.....

Yes, the movie was good but I thought they overegged the 3D! Lovely to see you, good fun x

Apologies I couldn't make this. Unfortunately the previously arranged events earlier in the day took longer than I thought.

Hi, I've only just had an alert about this event. I'm desperate to see this film and would love to come but I have an appointment at 4 (in South Woodford). I just phoned but it's too late to change it. Are you meeting at the Odeon at 5? If so, if I'm done by 4.50 I'll run up and meet you all.
Please email me and I'll give you my mobile number. I don't want to put it on a public board.

    Thanks

    Maureen

Hi Maureen, we are meeting at 5 outside the cinema. Film starts at 5ยท10. There are usually a few ads before the film begins so even if your a little late you can always get in. We're sitting in rows d and e middle section. Hope you can make it.

Can't make this, as won't be back in the area in time. Would love to see it.

That's a shame. I hope you get a chance to see it another time.

Hoping to attend this - depending on timing and how the rest of the schedule goes - are you going for 2D or 3D ?

I can't wait to see this film. The original was pretty good as well with Robert Redford, will Leonardo do as well? I love all the jazz and glitz of the 20's so it will be a feat for the eyes and ears.
If you book the 3D film online before the 23rd May, then you get entered into a prize draw to win a trip to LA including an exclusive screening and Warner brother VIP studio tour! If your a movie buff or just love the movies then this would be a cool prize.
I hope a few more of us can come this Saturday, possibly drinks/ food afterwards and time to chat about the film.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
