ABW has a booth at the second annual Ney Day Celebration. We will be helping children make step books and talking up the proposed Austin Book Arts Center. Great way to spend a Saturday. Would love to see you.

We plan to make a "step book" as demonstrated in a 7 minute video by the wonderful person and creative genius, Susan Gaylord:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OascQW0cH_Q (Preview)
Susan shows a few examples. One step book is about "you and where you are" at around 4:40 in the video. The 6 pages are: you, your school, your city, your state, your country, your world.
We are going to make a 4 page step book, and instead of your school we will have a stencil to help draw the Elisabet Ney museum. Join the book arts fun. Hope to see you at Ney Day.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
