Program for this week:

- Welcome to the new book binding year

- Treasurer's report, room announcement

- release of officers, elections [EVERYONE - volunteers for all positions welcome. If you suggest someone - please make sure to check if they are willing to take on the role]

- PAY 20$ yearly membership fee

- work on program for next 10 months (we have ideas, contacts, but need feedback and input, decisions)

- Socialize - chat

We also could do a mini - project, I have selected 2 videos to watch. We did similar things 2-3 years ago, but especially for everyone new this might be an entertaining start into the new session.

Project 1 we need:

- a few letter sheets (at least one) of paper, scissors

Project 2 we need:

- paper (12x12 inch or larger)

- bone folder

- cutting board and cutting ruler/ knife or scissors

- gluesticks (Jerome, will you bring the big box?)

Both projects end much nicer if  we have some deco stuff, stamps, paper pieces.

Two great little hands-on projects provided even though business took up some of the time. Thanks, Andreas.

    What's the room number?

today 4.104, but might change. Best ask at the front desk. We have a new description in the meetups too, to find the library if you have never been there.

Apologies to everyone having trouble finding the room - the Google map does not allow me to set a pin where the 'better' entrance is. I tried, and it got denied. The fine arts library has two entrances, and on the map is the more difficult one. The easiest way is - standing in front of Bass Concert Hall, to the left of this is another little stairs and entrance - to the fine arts library. Go up one flight (two, if you come from the Trinity entrance) and ask at the library counter for the room for Austinbookworkers. Usually we have room 4.104, but that might change they told us.

The parking situation got a lot worse - UT requires permits now, this is new. There are still free places on East Dean Keaton heading Eastward, where you have to reverse in, they are currently still free after 6pm on Weekdays.

What do most people do for parking?

Tons of free parking at this time. Try Robert Dedman drive (LBJ library) - just watch which place you take, some are reserved, but many are ok after 6 pm.
