Artists books of the Fine Arts Library of the University of Texas
The head librarian of the Fine Arts Library, Laura Schwartz, will show a few pieces of her artist book collection. She will pull some 20 examples from the pretty large Fine Arts Library collection and we will be able to explore these books carefully.
Artist books can be researched in their online catalog with 'artist book' and limit to FAL.
Looking forward to meet y'all.
Google map does not allow me to set a pin where the 'better' entrance is. I tried, and it got denied.
The fine arts library has two entrances, and on the map is the more difficult one. The easiest way is - standing in front of Bass Concert Hall, to the left of this is another little stairs and entrance - to the fine arts library. Go up one flight (two, if you come from the Trinity entrance) and enter the library.
Ask at the library counter for the room for Austinbookworkers. Usually we have room 4.104, but that might change they told us.
The parking situation got a lot worse - UT requires permits now, this is new. There are stillfree places on East Dean Keaton heading Eastward, where you have to reverse in, they are currently still free after 6pm on Weekdays. We will talk with UT to see if we can get permits.
