Read: Knut Hamsun's Pan

We have had a scarcity of Scandinavian writers, so we have selected Knut Hamsun's "Pan".   Pan is an 1894 novel by Norwegian author Knut Hamsun. Hamsun was directly influenced by the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky. Pan remains one of his most famous works today.

Art: you can read this in the original Norwegian.

It is hard to get it in Norwegian. Even though the text dates back to 1894 it is still somehow protected, so you can't download it. It is not available even from the official Norwegian electronic library. And I have enough (bad) experience trying to buy books from Swedish websites, so I didn't even want to try messing with Norwegian ones.

But now I have got it! It reads smoothly, maybe because I am reading it with the Swedish pronunciation in my head, and Swedish is a smooth language :) So see you next month!
