Sorry I didn't make it. :-( I wasn't sure I was going to finish the book in time, and then I ended up coming up with a bad cold. :-( Next time!!

The book was a romp! Rating it on chuckles per chapter, it would make most folk's short list of faves.

Anne why not. She sounds like she is a reader. The only drawback was the ending. As you said it was an unexpected ending. See you next month. Lorraine

They teach "Bad Monkey" at Wagner???

Actually, Bad Monkey is a good example of a book which nicely interweaves various lives and wraps everything up neatly with no loose ends. It's done so effortlessly that the reader isn't aware of the skill involved.

    I'm bringing a 'surprise' guest.

I also read the book and planned to attend but my fundraiser had to be switched to the same night. Since I'm holding the fundraiser I have to be at the dinner. :) I was looking forward to discussing this.

I finished 'Bad Monkey.' My Lady's reading it now. There's a distinct pleasure in that. From time to time she chuckles. I ask where she is in the story. She tells me. I chuckle right along with her.

Moral: The family that laughs together laughs best.

Anyone else have a fave mixed aphorism?

I read the book and love it. Unfortunately I have a work event already scheduled for this night so I will not be able to attend. If my work event gets cancelled, I will come and since I already read the book I will be prepared.

Started in on 'Bad Monkey'. I read a bit in bed before turning off the light and the day. Good thing my Lady wasn't sleeping. I would have woken her up with an un-suppressible guffaw.

To whomever recommended this book: Grazie mille!

Marie the meeting last week was terrific. We had four new members who had great insights about Defending Jacob. We all shared our thoughts and all members had interesting and insight about family teenagers the internet etc. Our leader was very much missed. See
    you september. Lorraine

Just checked the NYPL and spotted the 'ready soon' good news for Bad Monkey. It will be a needed diversion from the current news du jour.

Went home after our meeting and finished the book that night; definitely didn't expect THAT ending! Enjoyed the book. I'm looking for some feedback: my friend's 15 yr old granddaughter loves suspense and mysteries and he thought she might like this book. Do you think this is appropriate reading for a 15 yr old. Thanks, Anne

Bad Monkey's easily available through the NYPL. My copy is on the way a day after I ordered it. Gotta love those folks!
