And Into Dust - Ray Douglas

Could a nuclear dump cause an earthquake?

A ten fold increase in the number of temblors, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions plague an increasingly polluted planet. Millions die and scientists can neither explain the continuing geologic catastrophes, nor determine if they will continue.

Cain Chandler can predict earthquakes. Born with the instincts and sensitivity observed in the animal kingdom. Cain's perceptions border on communication. He is repeatedly drawn to explore deep caverns as the attempts to understand the 'source' of the emanations and he warning secreted within.

Julie Stevens is determined to save the environment from the ravages of man: oil spills, acid rain, and toxic waste. Her research into major ecological disasters reveals a startling parallel with those of natural origin.

A special thanks to everyone at the Bookies, present and not, who took their time to read a novel by an unpublished author. It is rare to have an opportunity to get feed back from a group of avid and discerning readers. Atlhough I believe that, 'And Into Dust..' is worthy of being published in the general market, it is nearly impossible to get a publishing house willing to take a chance. If it ever does happen, I will always remember your positive reinforcement as a contributing factor. Thanks again.

Linda, and all new members. I am a member of bookies and the self published author of, 'And Into Dust'. Several members have read and liked my novel enough to encourage me to offer it as our monthly selection for August. There are three copies in the library system and I will gladly email it as an attachment to you and/or provide you with a hard copy at our get together. You can reach me at: [masked].

This evening will be my first meeting, and my first venture out into Knoxville after moving here last week. Can you tell me how to recognize the group and which book you are currently reading?
