The Ocean At The End Of The Lane - Neil Gaiman

A brilliantly imaginative and poignant fairy tale from the modern master of wonder and terror, The Ocean at the End of the Lane is Neil Gaiman’s first new novel for adults since his #1 New York Times bestseller Anansi Boys.

This bewitching and harrowing tale of mystery and survival, and memory and magic, makes the impossible all too real...

I'm sorry that I want able to make it. I had a family issue poo up at the last moment. I look forward to the next meeting! Did the group decided on a book?

I like Neil Gaiman a lot, which was why I suggested this book. I knew it would be weird, so I was pleased that it generated such a great discussion.

Enjoyed the discussion as much as the book!

A good book that reads on many levels. Good fodder for the conversation.

While I remain ambiguous about the book, I'm positive that the dialogue about the book...it was wonderful! I look forward to rereading the book in the future with all of these great insights to help me figure out if I really like this one or not :)

The group used my self published novel, 'And Into Dust..' 3 months ago for discussion and I would like to offer it free to all of our new members. I am still seeking feed back before I tackle a new project. Will have copies available on Nov. 18.

I don't think I will be able to make this one because I'm out of town on the weekend, but this book sounds great! Good choice.

I suggested this book because I really liked Gaiman's "American Gods" and "Anansi Boys". Hope this book continues the trend...
