July 10, 2014 Meetup: Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.

The international fame and notoriety of Indianapolis-born Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. has only grown in the seven years after his death.  Vonnegut was an American original and master of the dark comedy.  Our book club meets at the Rathskeller, which is less than one mile from the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library.  And to add even more local flavor to this month's book selection, Vonnegut's grandfather was an architect for the beautiful Athenaeum building, where we will be discussing Slaughterhouse-Five on July 10!

Fishers library has a presentation on Vonnegut on Monday, June 30, at 7 pm, as follows. The Literary Elements of Summer Reading continues!

Join us for an evening of Vonnegut run by staff from the Vonnegut Library. The focus of this program will be Vonnegut's Tree of Influences and what inspired him. Bring along stories of how Vonnegut influenced you to share with the group.
