Alas Weekend Book Club, I have bail as they haven't even plowed my street yet and not keen on taking an 'Ossining Sleigh Ride' - I'd probably wind up in the river. I hope we reschedule as I found this a very riveting book despite its grim topic and would love to discuss it. It's very seldom I can't a book down but this one had up until the wee hours many nights!

I'll do my best to get there but there are accidents on Route 9 & 9A which has parts of both closed down...

Very Sorry to miss this! I very much wanted to hear why people liked this book so much . Read the whole way through to be part of the conversation. But, too much snow here for me to drive.

I'm not going to make it as well since the road out of my community looks bad…so sorry but hope to meet you all another time.

I am not sure how it is in the Elmsford Area, but I am north of 287 near Putnam County line and it is snowing very hard making the roads very slick. Travel advisory warning have been announced. With this said, I am canceling my participation today. I am sorry for any inconvenience. I was looking forward to discussing The Orphan Master's Son. The book deserves all the awards given to it. Enjoy and hope to see everyone next time. Andy

Looking forward to it. Strangely, I finished the book Tuesday morning & then that evening stumbled across a documentary on PBS about North Korea and what's happening there....

Unforunately I won't be able to read enough of the book to attend, see you next time.

I just joined so I'm too late for this meeting. Looking forward to the next one. How far in advance will you let me know about book and meeting?

  • Edie

Can anyone think of a way to include more people or have a 2nd meeting per month? It seems like there's always a substantial waiting list.

  • Julie H.

I didn't take into account the amount of time I'd be at work the past few weeks. I won't be able to finish the book even remotely close to participate well. I'll give my spot to someone who read it and can contribute. See you next month. - be good. Julie

There was a Xmas party at Rini's - I think that made it nosier than usual.

Been to all three- all good so take your pick Steve. Luck of the draw as far as noise level of other patrons.

I would prefer Pete's Saloon. Rini's is ok though.

I like rinis food today but a bit loud. Pete's is quieter. I LOVE buon Amici.

    December 21, 2013

  • Laura

I prefer Rinis', but would be fine with Pete's or Buon Amici's

I'd like to suggest this lovely restaurant which is right near The County Center: Buon Amici
    238 Central Ave., White Plains

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
