So far 13 people have RSVP's Yes to the next meeting. The Silver Tips Tea Room can't handle that many people. So we'll move it to the Striped Bass Restaurant, 236 West Main Street, Tarrytown. Phone (914) 366-4455. The Striped Bass was our original meeting place a year-and-a-half ago. It is right on the Hudson River and has both indoor and outdoor dining. So if the weather's good it should be a nice place to have lunch together.
To get there, you have to drive down Main Street in Tarrytown to the bottom of the hill. The train station will be on your left at the bottom. To your right will be an overpass over the train tracks. Take that and hang a left on the other side. You'll now be between the train tracks and the river. There's a big condo development there. The Striped Bass will be down a hundred yards or so on the right.
Do you love books? Have you read something amazing recently but had no one to share it with? Have you wanted to join a book club (like me) only to find they all meet on weekdays making it impossible for you to attend? Then welcome to the Westchester Weekend Book Club! This club will be open to everyone - both men, women, young, old. A common interest in good books is all that's needed.
Some great future read suggestions are "The Thirteenth Tale," "Middlesex," Water for Elephants" "The Shadow of the Wind..." and oh so many more! So, if you love books and have a free afternoon or evening once a month, come join us!
