Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake

It's Atwood. It's from 2003 after our last couple of fictions reached back a bit. It was shortlisted from the Man Booker Prize in 2003 and the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2004.

That really should be enough, but in case it isnt the novel is described as speculative fiction and adventure romance as it deals with things that havent been invented yet.

The novel focuses on a post-apocalyptic hermit named Snowman.

That should be more than enough to get you interested.

Wish I had been available. (I'm currently reading The Windup Girl, which would make an interesting companion book to Oryx and Crake.)

Last night, the Halloween event at the Natural History Museum came up. Would any fellow book-clubbers like to go as a group?

Yeah, I think the three new posting were well balanced-a somewhat current novel, a classic novel, and a non-fiction. Nice Mix I think.
