The T-Dot Book Club Meetup Group Pages

There are thousands of people in this city who look to sources other then Oprah for their reading pleasure -- our goal is to bring these people together to discuss a more eclectic world of literature.

Over the past few years, this group has read a wide variety of titles-- from fiction to non-fiction, controversial to tame-- based on a general desire to diversify our reading. A complete list of previous selections can be found at: http://bookclub.meetu...

Our monthly meetings are casual, generally starting with a chat about the chosen reading & theme for the month. Reading both selections is not mandatory, as we welcome people having read 'either, neither or both' books. No matter what has (or hasn't!) been read, the discussion is always lively and diverse! Later in the meeting, we typically choose two books to discuss at future meetings based on themes-- all suggestions are welcome.

Additional activities are occasionally planned such as trips to book readings and festivals, book parties, joint book club events, and author visits.
