This book club has been a great way to stay engaged with books, have stimuating discussion, and meet interesting people. I've been organizing the club over five years now. It's always a great time.
Contemporary Fiction, Biography, Grahpic Novels, and some non-fiction. I try to read a few of the major book award finalists each year.
1. "The Road Less Traveled," by M. Scott Peck 2. "The Hours," by Michael Cunningham 3. "The English Patient," Michael Ondaatje 4. "Siddhartha," by Hermann Hesse 5. "The Sandman", vol 1-10, by Neil Gaiman AND "The Watchman" by Moore and Gibbons
I'd like us to pool recommendations from book critics, friends and reputable publications, then vote democratically on a selection. I'd like to see a mixture of fiction, biography, non-fiction and perhaps some other "daring" genre

Hello, Gwen, I'm Jeff Egerton, author of THE BOXCAR BLUES. This is a gripping coming of age story about two teenage boys, struggling to survive during the Great Depression. Their tempered steel toughness and street savvy allow them to rise from homeless vagrants to become owners of a major airline. THE BOXCAR BLUES is available at selected book stores and on-line book sellers. Send an e-mail to: [masked], and I'll send you a free copy of my newsletter. www.JeffEgerton

Thanks Gwen. I really enjoy this bookclub. Everyone is so open and interesting. I'll be in Raleigh this summer so I may miss a couple of meetings but I'm in for Don Quixote!
Hi Gwen,
I wrote a five book fantasy adventure series for middle school/high school readers. The second book has recently been released; it?s a wonderful follow up to the first book. Perhaps you could mention the series to your members and pass along the website. I would certainly appreciate it.
If I can do anything for The Greensboro Book Club please let me know.
Take care,
Kevin Gerard
