I came across another book about NK that looks interesting: Escape from Camp 14: One Man's Remarkable Odyssey from North Korea to Freedom in the West by Blaine Harden

That's a great one. Anderson Cooper did a long interview with him and for a while he was also working with LINK.

Loved it. Sorry I had to live early. I really like the people who attend these meetings. Don't know if you've chosen a book for next time, but I vote for "The Orphan Master's Son" Excellent reviews! Was mentioned last night. PS Noticed I was not in the RSVP listing. Did you not get that message from me?

I was great having you back at our table, Jim! And you're in luck -- "The Orphan Master's Son" is next month's book.

Oops, almost forgot your question about RSVPs...were you referring to the July meeting or the one for August? Your YES for July appears in the RSVP listing.

Great book! Was very embarrassing to the regime. Lots of interesting NK videos at youtube. Check out the Very strange "Vice" one with Dennis Rodman hanging out with Kim Jong Un. See you soon!Jim

Hearing this girl's testimony of her personal experience in North Korea and knowing that she's acting to try to help others by speaking to huge audiences like this one was both compelling and impressive. Thanks Lisa.

I came across this TED talk that nicely complements the book. http://www.ted.com/talks/hyeonseo_lee_my_escape_from_north_korea.html
