Nocturne by Helen Humphreys.  Karen's choice.

Normally I would post a brief write up (mine or something copy and paste).  But this time I highly suggest going to the link.  There is an audio recording near the bottom of the page I am sure you would enjoy!

Good discussion and great to hear the different points of view.

The discussion made me start to consider reading in a different light - I was never overly analytical when reading books but will try my hand on the next one. I always considered my own feeling about the material as opposed to what the author was feeling or thinking.

I enjoyed reading this book and after hearing from those who've read Helen Humphrey's other books, I definitely want to try some of those. As for Nocturne, I think its grip on the reader may depend on whether they have has experienced the loss of a close loved one. I would like to try Karen's suggestion to start a daily journal. That sounds like fun. Happy spring, finally.

I also couldn't make it due to health. Look forward to starting the new book and seeing you all in April! :)

I am backing out also because of a flu/cold bug. Don't like to share :o). Enjoy the meeting and will look forward to reading Karen's synopsis.

Karen, Lynne will not be attending in March. She rarely logs onto the Internet to update her RSVP. I do not have her username and password to change her status. Thank you, LAURIE
