I can read anywhere but one of my favourite places to read is at my friend's camp (cottage) north of Thunder Bay in the screened porch of her sauna building right beside the lake.
The only books that come to mind were Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldon books.
Yes there have been a couple. Norman Mailer's The Executioner's Song changed how I viewed capital punishment. Also Margaret Laurence"s The Diviners gave me a character that I could really identify with on some levels.
I have thought of joining a book club for quite a while. I am a teacher and I've found I have little time to read for myself. I thought a book club would be a big help.
This is a great way to meet people of all backgrounds who share a common love of reading.
