something a little different for you in this email. I've received the following message from a postgraduate student who's looking for focus group participants to participate in a discussion on the subject of environmental consciousness and pro-environmental behaviour. Knowing that some of you have some strong feelings on this topic, I thought I'd forward on her message.
If anyone is interested in taking part in the research, let me know and I'll pass on your details to Ruth.
I am a postgraduate student at the Department of Urban Studies at the University of Glasgow. I am doing some research on environmental consciousness and pro-environmental behaviour in an urban context, and I am running a series of focus groups including people with no direct connection to environmental issues. I was wondering if you would be able to post this on the website or forward it to your members. I am looking for between 4 and 6 people who live in Glasgow (i.e. within about 4 miles of the city centre), for a discussion lasting about an hour and a half. This research is unfunded, and so I can't pay incentives, but travel expenses would be reimbursed and there would be plenty of refreshments on hand. Ideally I would like to arrange meetings during the first week in August (2nd-8th), but if another date would be better I can adjust my plans. My research is purely for assessment purposes; it will have no direct policy impact, and the confidentiality and anonymity of everyone who takes part will be carefully maintained. If any of your members are interested in taking part, please let me know, and I will provide further information. Many thanks, Ruth Fletcher
