May Meetup

Let's read some science fiction! This month's selection is Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card.  Here is a short description:

Ender Wiggin, the third in a family of child geniuses, is selected by international military forces to save the world from destruction.  At Battle School, located on a ship far from earth, Ender and other students train to fight an alien enemy (nicknamed 'the buggers').  Ender  quickly advances through the military ranks to become leader of a child army.  Will Ender be able to save earth?  Read the book to find out!

Hope to see you there!

Thanks Amy - I'm a newbie. The book sounds interesting but I'm sure I can't get it read by tomorrow. :)

I have a union event that just came up that I need to attend, so I won't be at the meeting on Thursday May 2. I'm sad to miss it, as I found the book interesting and I think it'll be a good discussion. See you all in June!

I've got a copy of Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka lying around that I haven't read--I'd be interested in reading that! Anyone else have any suggestions?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
