I am a former high school English teacher who has decided to leave the school classroom for a bit to stay home. I enjoy being home, but I found I really missed talking about books with people. That was the initial impetus for starting the group. I also needed to read something more advanced than Dr. Seuss to ward off brain atrophy (ha ha). We read everything from fiction to non-fiction and from classics to items on the New York Times Best Seller List. The group meets once a month (usually the second Wednesday of the month barring any holidays) at a local book store. Despite the title of the group, it is not exclusive to mothers.
